Use a postcode lookup facility for three reasons:
- Optimisation, it improves the customer journey and reduces barriers by speeding up form filling
- Cleaner data, it means all entries are clean, no typos and approved Post Office format making it more usable for labelling, data import etc
- More usable for APIs that rely on clean data such as QuickBooks implementation
Cost wise there are commercial providers who can supply lookup for around 2p an address.
