members cant identify what years trip were made - using as an excuse not to pay as exact date is not showing!

Statements are only ever meant as a snapshot or report of bookings made during the period selected - they are never a demand for payment. Invoices, which are demands for payment, will only ever contain bookings specifically for the month (and year) they have been generated for to eliminate all ambiguity.
We might look at adding "year" headers to blocks of bookings in statements in future, but at the moment this is not a priority.

Not if the statement covers numerous years and multiple pages.
These pages may be split (if driver authorisation is required)– would be handy if it was on each trip.

The date ranges of an invoice (including years) are displayed in the top right corner - is this not sufficient?
